Editorial policy
Lively Screen Stories aims to make screen storytelling easier to notice and discuss. We separate description from interpretation, take care with factual claims and make changes when readers point out an error.
Accuracy and interpretation
We check factual statements against appropriate materials when preparing a piece and take care not to make an example carry more weight than it can. Interpretations are presented as readings, not as the single correct meaning. When a claim is uncertain or disputed, we make that uncertainty clear rather than smoothing it away.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial decisions are kept distinct from commercial arrangements. Any sponsored or partner material is clearly labelled so readers can recognise its status. A partnership does not guarantee favourable coverage, and commercial relationships do not determine our independent editorial judgements.
Corrections and illustrations
If you spot an error, contact us through the Contact page and identify the relevant passage. We review correction requests and amend material when warranted, making the nature of a significant correction clear. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; where this applies, we label them so readers can distinguish them from documentary images.
The screen is part of the story
A story changes when you can pause, choose a path, follow it episode by episode or watch it unfold in drawn images. We look at those differences without treating one format as the natural winner.
